Radcliffe Cardiology, a global community for cardiovascular professionals, today announces a partnership with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA), representing clinical experts in obesity management, for the creation, syndication and dissemination of high-quality educational programmes.
The agreement will see Radcliffe and the OMA share and host expertly curated educational content on each organisation’s respective online platforms to help advance the prevention, treatment, and reversal of the disease of obesity.
As part of the agreement, Radcliffe and the OMA will collaborate on the creation of new content, and the OMA, as an approved accreditor with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), will endorse select Radcliffe programmes for CME accreditation. Such programmes will be freely available to both OMA members and Radcliffe’s global community.
Of the agreement David Ramsey, CEO of Radcliffe Group (owner of Radcliffe Cardiology), commented: “In our ongoing efforts to best serve the educational needs of our global community, for some time we have recognised the importance of further developing our obesity-related content. The prevention and management of obesity, and its related co-morbidities, is a major global challenge.
“We believe that by bringing together Radcliffe’s experience in clinical content creation, with OMA’s trusted knowledge as the largest organisation of HCPs working to improve the lives of patients affected by obesity, we can help induce meaningful and enduring change in obesity prevention and management.”
Teresa Fraker, Executive Director of the OMA, commented: “The OMA is pleased to partner with the Radcliffe Group in our mutual ongoing efforts to educate providers with regard to the disease of obesity and its associated untoward health consequences. Together, the synergies that our two organisations will realize through the delivery of high-fidelity educational content to providers from all healthcare specialties is endless.”
