Radcliffe Group, a leading educational publisher dedicated to supporting lifelong learning for healthcare professionals, today announces the launch of Transcatheter Academy – a new online destination dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals in the field of interventional cardiology.
Transcatheter Academy brings all of Radcliffe’s intervention and structural heart content from its portfolio of educational websites – including its hugely successful Radcliffe Cardiology platform – under one virtual roof.
Comprising case-based learning, educational webinars, a journal club, interviews with leading interventionalists, and late-breaking clinical trial updates, Transcatheter Academy will also support practice optimisation through guides and workflow protocols. The platform will include carefully curated articles from Radcliffe’s family of open-access journals – including high-impact journal Interventional Cardiology3 – Reviews, Research, Resources.
In June, Radcliffe announced the appointment of Dr Karim Al-Azizi (Baylor Scott & White Health, The Heart Hospital Plano, Texas, US) as the inaugural Editor-in-Chief of Transcatheter Academy, tasked with leading its editorial direction, and expertly supported by an Editorial Board of international renown.
Speaking at the time of his appointment, Dr Karim Al-Azizi commented, “For many years I have admired the quality of educational content published by Radcliffe Cardiology. Transcatheter Academy will represent a vital step forward in how we share expertise, evidence and procedural excellence with the global interventional community. I look forward to working alongside the team to foster deeper engagement, continuous learning and ultimately better outcomes for patients.”
Of the launch, David Ramsey, CEO of Radcliffe Group, commented, “We are delighted to announce the launch of Transcatheter Academy. For many years Radcliffe has leveraged its deep knowledge, network and expertise in content creation to serve the educational needs of its very large and fast-growing interventional cardiology community.
Transcatheter Academy will greatly enhance our ability to tailor and curate content to ensure education that is most impactful, widely disseminated and enduring. We are very confident that Transcatheter Academy will become an essential resource for interventional cardiologists worldwide.”
